For me, I use
it as physical training.
I compete in ice sledge hockey and power lifting. COGY can move you using very little physical exertion but at the same time, it allows you to build up a really good sweat. It's like good aerobic exercise. When I first laid eyes on COGY I wasn't too confident about its promised performance to tell you the truth. But life is about trying things out, and being surprised by them.

Your legs still have
hope to move again.
For those who are unable to walk, if you can move either of your legs even just
a little bit, you will be able to pedal this machine with both your legs.
The speed? You can glide along at almost the same speed as quick walking.
Turn the wheelchair around
like never before.
Turn the handle and push the pedals.
That's all it takes to turn around on the spot.
Exactly as you like, even inside a small elevator.
COGY excels,
even when not in use.
The left wheel can be taken off easily,
making it simple to load in and out of any vehicle.
Revolutionary design
in every detail.
The arm rest can also be folded away
making it easy to get in and out of the chair.
Superior safety
from superior technology.
No matter how revolutionary the design,
it means nothing without safety.
That is why both front and rear wheels
on COGY have brakes installed.
And the small wheels on COGY
give extra stability when riding.

HOW IT WORKS
Signals from the brain make our limbs move. In the case of people with
a disability or the like, these signals from the brain cannot reach the legs. COGY promotes a reaction from the spine rather than brain, where even the slightest movement in one leg can create a reflex reaction where the opposing paralyzed limb will move. Information from the sensory nerves modulates the neural networks of the brain and spinal cord. We call this neuromodulation.

My instant thought was
'I can move my legs again!'
It's so much fun! I love it. Since my stroke occurred in 2011, my left leg has
never moved. For the first time in 6 years I am able to move my legs!
It still feels quite strange. The sensation of pedaling COGY is like walking up stairs.
Usual physical rehabilitation routines are tiring and hard, but with COGY
you can really enjoy it. It's given me a real boost of confidence.
Left Leg Paralysis due to Stroke
Ikuo Tateno
I thought
COGY was not for me.
But I was wrong.
It's been exactly 3 years since my accident. I'm used to wheelchair life now,
and I'm even a part of a wheelchair basketball team. I met my wife through this,
and to tell you the truth, I was perfectly happy and content. But when I tried COGY,
I'm feeling the joy of being able to move again. It made me feel one day I'd like
to go for a picnic with my wife on COGY.

A leg work out
in just 10 minutes.
I ride COGY about once a week out of doors. I use it to maintain my leg muscles. It really burns in my thighs after 10 or 15 minutes of riding, and feels like a really good workout.

Yasunori Danbara
I can move by myself.
It's going to
change my life.
The first time I saw my son pedal his COGY and move himself, I shouted 'WOW!' My son can't move his arms either. So an ordinary wheelchair is no use to him. And an electric wheelchair will mean no muscle development for him. So COGY is very good. He can move it using his own strength, and he'll be able to go longer distances I think. It seems his ambition of going on holiday is possible with COGY!

I can use my legs now.
That means
I can do more.
When I first rode COGY, it reminded me of when I used to ride bicycles.
Ordinary wheelchairs don't allow you to move your legs so COGY is lot
more fun. It gives me the same sense of joy I felt when I was first able to
stand again after hard rehabilitation. COGY gives me hope to my dream.
The dream of sending my future child to and from school on a bicycle. I think it will train me well.

COGY really is
part of my life.
Since I hurt my back I've been using a cane to walk and the pain
in my legs are severe. COGY is good for me because I don't feel that pain. I use it everyday unless we're going somewhere very far.
I also feel like I'm training my muscles too. It makes me very happy to maneuver up a hill using my own strength.

Haruo Takahashi
It was so easy that
I almost thought someone
was pushing COGY.
When I first met COGY I honestly believed it won't work for me.
I can stand with my legs, but I get very severe shivers. But now, I can move using my legs again! It's like that moment as a child, when you learn to ride a bike for the first time. My wife even took a photo of me when I first rode COGY. People ask me about COGY so I tell them, just give it a try and see how it can change lives.
