For me, I use
it as physical training.
I compete in ice sledge hockey and power lifting. COGY can move you using very little physical exertion but at the same time, it allows you to build up a really good sweat. It's like good aerobic exercise. When I first laid eyes on COGY I wasn't too confident about its promised performance to tell you the truth. But life is about trying things out, and being surprised by them.

My instant thought was
'I can move my legs again!'
It's so much fun! I love it. Since my stroke occurred in 2011, my left leg has
never moved. For the first time in 6 years I am able to move my legs!
It still feels quite strange. The sensation of pedaling COGY is like walking up stairs.
Usual physical rehabilitation routines are tiring and hard, but with COGY
you can really enjoy it. It's given me a real boost of confidence.

I thought
COGY was not for me.
But I was wrong.
It's been exactly 3 years since my accident. I'm used to wheelchair life now,
and I'm even a part of a wheelchair basketball team. I met my wife through this,
and to tell you the truth, I was perfectly happy and content. But when I tried COGY,
I'm feeling the joy of being able to move again. It made me feel one day I'd like
to go for a picnic with my wife on COGY.

A leg work out
in just 10 minutes.
I ride COGY about once a week out of doors. I use it to maintain my leg muscles. It really burns in my thighs after 10 or 15 minutes of riding, and feels like a really good workout.

I can move by myself.
It's going to
change my life.
The first time I saw my son pedal his COGY and move himself, I shouted 'WOW!' My son can't move his arms either. So an ordinary wheelchair is no use to him. And an electric wheelchair will mean no muscle development for him. So COGY is very good. He can move it using his own strength, and he'll be able to go longer distances I think. It seems his ambition of going on holiday is possible with COGY!

I can use my legs now.
That means
I can do more.
When I first rode COGY, it reminded me of when I used to ride bicycles.
Ordinary wheelchairs don't allow you to move your legs so COGY is lot
more fun. It gives me the same sense of joy I felt when I was first able to
stand again after hard rehabilitation. COGY gives me hope to my dream.
The dream of sending my future child to and from school on a bicycle. I think it will train me well.

COGY really is
part of my life.
Since I hurt my back I've been using a cane to walk and the pain
in my legs are severe. COGY is good for me because I don't feel that pain. I use it everyday unless we're going somewhere very far.
I also feel like I'm training my muscles too. It makes me very happy to maneuver up a hill using my own strength.
Parkinson's Disease
Haruo Takahashi
It was so easy that
I almost thought someone
was pushing COGY.
When I first met COGY I honestly believed it won't work for me.
I can stand with my legs, but I get very severe shivers. But now, I can move using my legs again! It's like that moment as a child, when you learn to ride a bike for the first time. My wife even took a photo of me when I first rode COGY. People ask me about COGY so I tell them, just give it a try and see how it can change lives.
